2025 Year-in-Review: Grit, Growth, and The Rosemont Way

2025 marked our first full calendar year in the new shop, and it was a year defined by the "Rosemont way"—leaning into the unknown, stepping through challenges, and constantly pushing for better. From the outside, a barbershop is about clean fades and sharp lines, but the reality behind the scenes is often a story of resilience.

Building the Team

We started the year by expanding our team with three incredible barbers: Brian, CT, and Xavier. Watching their growth has been a highlight of our 2025. CT stepped into a full-time role in June, and Xavier earned his promotion to Barber in August. Most recently, we celebrated Shelby’s hard-earned promotion to Senior Barber.

It wasn’t all gain, though. In June, we said a bittersweet goodbye to our friend Zack as he moved back to his hometown in Kentucky. We miss him in the shop, but we’re proud of the team we’ve built.

The Trials: Water and Compliance

Running a business in a new space comes with unexpected hurdles. This summer, we were hit with a sudden, massive leak hidden above our soffit from a washer/dryer line.

The hardest part was the unknown. It took us weeks to find where the water was coming from, what was causing it, and how to fix it. Every day spent searching was another day of water damage to our drywall and infrastructure. It was a massive, stressful hurdle that resulted in a brand-new laundry setup less than a year into the space—but we pushed through without missing a beat for our guests.

On top of the physical challenges, we also underwent a random audit from the Colorado Department of Labor. In an industry where operating "under the table" or cutting corners is often the norm, Rosemont has always prioritized doing things the right, legal way. We passed the audit just fine, confirming that our foundation is as solid as our craft.

Elevating the Experience

We didn’t let the setbacks stop us from improving. We transitioned to a brand-new booking system—a massive undertaking for our back-end—and made major aesthetic upgrades to the shop. From the new wainscoting and fresh paint to a more efficient back-of-house wall and curated artwork, every change was made to make Rosemont feel like home for you.

Celebrating the Craft

To celebrate this resilient team, our year-end gift was something special: custom, branded scissors from our good friend Aaron at Moto Shears. These represent the high standard and heart our barbers bring to work every single day, regardless of what's happening behind the scenes.

Looking Ahead

Finally, we want to wish each and every one of you a happy, healthy, and successful new year. Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or sat in our chairs for the first time this year, thank you for being the best part of The Rosemont Barbers. We are honored to be your barbers, and we look forward to seeing what you achieve in 2026.
